Hari ini saya ada berita baik untuk Anda:

Anda bisa memulai langkah pertama Anda dengan menunggu
sesuatu yang "besar" terjadi.

Atau Anda bisa memutuskan untuk memulai saat ini juga.

Kuncinya... ketahuilah apa yang benar-benar Anda
inginkan. Lalu bertindaklah. Tantangan besar pertama bagi
kebanyakan orang adalah memulai.

Apa yang menentukan keteguhan hati seseorang dalam mencapai
impian?

Apa yang membuat seseorang berusaha lebih giat?

Apa pula yang mengakibatkan seseorang menolak untuk
menyerah?

Sikap.

Sikap menentukan besarnya impian yang Anda pasang. Sikap
menentukan apakah Anda akan terpengaruh oleh komentar
negatif yang ingin menjatuhkan. Sikap menentukan apakah
kita akan marah, iri, dan curiga terhadap orang lain.

Kenyataannya, tidak ada orang yang bisa mengubah sikap Anda
kecuali Anda sendiri. Bagi sebagian orang, ini kedengaran
seperti kabar buruk. Tapi sesungguhnya tidak.

Dengan kata lain, jika Anda menentukan sikap Anda sendiri,
artinya Anda juga satu-satunya individu yang mampu
menetapkan arah hidup dan kesuksesan Anda.

Dunia bisa memberikan respon yang tidak Anda inginkan. Tapi
Anda juga yang memutuskan bagaimana menyikapinya.

Apakah Anda berhenti? Apakah Anda memutuskan untuk mengubah
arah dan terus maju?

Sikap adalah aset terbesar yang Anda miliki. Anda harus
menjaganya. Anda harus melindunginya dengan baik. Hati-hati
dengan "pencuri" yang selalu berusaha memancing amarah
dan menyakiti sikap positif Anda.

Memiliki sikap yang baik adalah pondasi yang dibutuhkan
untuk kesuksesan. Ia memberikan kekuatan diri untuk
menghadapi masalah dan menyelesaikannya.

Sikap mempengaruhi semua aspek kehidupan manusia. Jadi
pupuklah sikap yang positif agar Anda juga ikut tumbuh
bersamanya!

dongeng kancil dan kura-kura

Satu kisah di masa kecil yang memberikan saya inspirasi
adalah dongeng kancil dan kura-kura.

Kisah yang aslinya dituturkan oleh Aesop 2500 tahun silam
menjadi begitu tersohor karena pelajaran yang bisa dipetik
darinya.

Sebagai anak-anak, kita terhibur... dan sebagai seorang
dewasa, kita bisa memetik pelajaran hidup yang berharga.

Begitulah ceritanya:

Alkisah ada seekor kancil yang mampu berlari sangat
kencang. Konon kecepatannya mampu menandingi angin.

Muak dengan kesombongannya, seekor kura-kura menantangnya
untuk berlomba. Semua binatang di hutan berkumpul untuk
menontonnya.

Sang kancil berlari sekejap, kemudian berhenti dan
beristirahat. Saat melihat ke belakang... ia hampir tidak
bisa melihat kura-kura. Jelaslah lawannya jauh ketinggalan.

Kancil lalu meregangkan badannya dan tertidur pulas
di bawah pohon yang rindang. "Ada banyak waktu untuk
bersantai," begitu pikirnya.

Kura-kura merangkak dan terus merangkak. Ia tidak pernah
berhenti sekali pun. Rencananya ia akan beristirahat
setelah melewati garis finish.

Ketika sedikit lagi menyelesaikan pertandingan, seluruh
penghuni hutan bersorak untuk kura-kura. Si kancil
terbangun karena suara keramaian itu, belum sadar apa yang
sedang terjadi.

Begitu ia sadar, secepatnya sang kancil berlari menuju
garis finish. Namun sayang... sesaat sebelum ia sampai,
kura-kura telah menginjakkan kaki depannya melalui garis
terlebih dahulu.

Sang kancil tidak dikalahkan oleh keahliannya, tapi
kesombongannya.

Intinya: walaupun keahlian itu penting, janganlah pernah
sekalipun menyombongkan diri... apalagi sampai meremehkan
orang lain.

Makluk yang kelihatan paling lemah sekali pun bisa jadi
adalah yang terkuat.

Sang kancil mengira lomba lari (seperti maraton) adalah
melulu soal kecepatan. Kura-kura membuktikan bahwa keahlian
terkecil pun bisa menang karena kegigihan dan ketekunan.

Sungguh cerita yang indah, bukan?

How to Make A Tropical Fruit Bowl

You need a newspaper, an old bowl, glue and a brush, cooking oil and different coloured paint to do this activity.

Now, here is how to make it. First, make rough fruit shapes from scrunched-up newspaper. Water down the glue and paste five layers of newspaper over the shapes. Leave them in a warm airy spot to dry. Then, brush the outside of the bowl with the oil. Now, glue six layers of newspaper strips to the bowl to make a strong mold. Let this dry overnight. Once the fruit shapes your dried newspaper mold from the old bowl. Decorate the mold in bright tropical colours. When the paint is dry, add your fruit shapes. See, your bowl is nice, isn’t it?
